Type P

The P Type coupling is designed expressly for brackish, MF, UF and NF membrane filtration, permeate and other low pressure applications

The non-metallic Type P plastic composite provides the ultimate corrosion resistance with adequate strength for a broad range of duty applications and throughout the low pressure range up to 10 bar (150 psi) to 21 bar (300 psi) depending on pipe size in the range of 0.75-inch to 8-inch nominal pipe size.

Component Description                            

• Housings:

Plastic composite resin, UV resistant, non-water absorptive.  Completely corrosion resistant.

Gaskets

EPDM rubber, suitable for hot and cold water services. Two shapes of gaskets are available: C-shaped or Flush-fit.

NSF/ANSI 61 approved or equivalent (FDA) for drinking water system components. Not suitable for petroleum service.

Bolts/Nuts/Washers

Adopt international standard type bolts，Round-head,square-neck stainless steel bolts and heavy hex nuts conform to ASME B18.5 and B18.2 respectively.

Bolts and nuts can be selected 304, 316 stainless steel material, in line with ASTM F-593 standard

Notice：Applications can impose severe-duty factors in addition to the maximum continuous operating pressure rating.  These additional design requirements must be considered in selecting the appropriate Veowater coupling.
